The Rockingham house occupies a corner lot, a setting we cherish for its ability to showcase the home as a sculptural masterpiece rather than merely a front-facing infill. Inspired by this corner exposure, our design centered around a living-dining kitchen area that seamlessly connects a master wing with an office and a children's wing positioned above a garage. The strategic placement of the stairs elegantly resolves the architectural forms as they turn the corner. At the entry, a solid form contrasts with a small courtyard cutout, channeling natural light into the interior spaces. This distinctive home was highlighted in the Austin Modern Homes Tour.
