Designed using a distinctive alternative building material, this duplex is divided by a prominent demising wall made of aerated concrete block. Aerated concrete offers excellent insulation with a high R-value, exceptional soundproofing capabilities, and a robust fireproof rating. Commonly used in Europe and Asia, this material influenced several design choices, minimizing cantilevers and featuring window openings akin to punched openings found in log cabins.
